Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé de préparation de silicium ou de ferro-silicium par réduction d'oxyde de silicium, éventuellement en présence de fer ou d'oxyde de fer, caractérisé en ce que le rapport de la quantité d'énergie calorifique délivrée à la zone de réaction à la quantité d'oxyde de silicium est réglable et ajusté de telle manière que le gaz quittant la zone de réaction suivante a une teneur en monoxyde de silicium inférieure à 10 moles %.
