Abstract

The saddle-frame has a clamping collar fitting on a bracket, and bent to form the springing. The collar is formed by an open belt extended by a radial lug each side of the opening with a hole for the clamping member, and having a pattern of protrusions on the outside face. The clamping member also passes through the holes in two rocking flanges, each of which has mating protrusions engaging with those on the lugs on its inside face. The lengthwise members fit in grooves in the flanges at right angles to the clamping member. These grooves are formed in the internal face of the flanges.
