Abstract
369,446. Saddle clips. BROOKS & CO., Ltd., J. B. and HAWKES, A., Criterion Works, Great Charles Street, Birmingham. April 28, 1931, No. 12467. [Class 136 (iii).] In a saddle clip of the type comprising a U-shaped parta adapted to be contracted around the usual L-pin or other support by mean of a bolt passing through holes in the sides of the clip, the bolt f is formed from a round rod of uniform diameter by transversely pressing its middle portion f<2> to a non-circular (e.g. substantially oval) cross section, and screw threading the circular ends f<1>, the end portions of the part f<2> engaging the non-circular holes a<2> in the sides of the clip to prevent rotation of the bolt. As shown, the part f<2> is arranged diagonally in the square holes a<2>. The screw threads on the ends f<l> may be formed by rolling.
