Abstract

The drive equipment comprises a prime mover (T) to which is connected an electrical generator (G). An electric motor (M) is connected to the generator (G), and a torque controlling unit (SR, IR, NRM) governs the motor torque. The equipment includes components for registering whether the effect derived from the generator exceeds that momentarily derived from the prime mover. When this is the case, they act on the torque-governing unit to limit the motor effect.
