Abstract

The generator has a rotor (20) whose hub (22) is mounted on the end of a shaft (23) supported by arms (24) inside a casing (30). The casing has an outer profile to offer minimum wind resistance and an inner profile forming a divergent passage from front to rear. The rotor is held at the front of this passage. The casing can pivot on a vertical support (33) and is brought into the wind by internal or external tail blades (35, 34). Air flow can be regulated by flaps (36) at the rear of the casing or by an internal profile (37) which can slide axially on the shaft (23).
