Abstract

Il comporte une électrode positive dont le collecteur est en graphite et contenant à l'état chargé ou en insertion un halogénure métallique MXq et dont la matière active est un halogène, une électrode négative métallique et un électrolyte solide à la température ambiante et liquide à la température de fonctionnement du générateur contenant un mélange d'halogénure d'aluminium et d'au moins un halogénure alcalin. Il est caractérisé par le fait que l'électrolyte contient en outre une quantité dudit halogénure métallique MXq propre à le saturer et que le métal de l'électrode négative est soit l'aluminium, soit le métal dudit halogénure métallique. L'invention est mise en oeuvre dans le stockage d'énergie.
