Abstract

L'invention concerne un affichage à cristal liquide qui comporte une plaque avant, une plaque arrière scellée à la plaque avant pour former une enveloppe, un cristal liquide, une première électrode sur l'une des plaques, au moins une position d'un caractère ayant plusieurs segments sur l'autre des plaques, des électrodes terminales le long d'un bord de l'autre plaque, et un moyen sur l'autre plaque pour connecter électriquement les segments et les électrodes terminales. Selon l'invention, le moyen de connexion 66 est invisible à l'oeil humain et le périmètre de la première électrode peut être placé en tout emplacement le long du moyen de connexion entre les segments 62 et les électrodes terminales 67 quand les plaques sont alignées et scellées, l'activation de la première électrode avec l'un des segments ne provoquant pas un affichage visible d'une partie du moyen de connexion en alignement avec la première électrode. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'affichage numérique.
