Abstract

Ce procédé de remorquage de tronçons de pipeline du chantier à terre jusqu'à la barge d'avalement et de pose permet d'utiliser des tronçons pouvant mesurer jusqu'à 3 000 m. Les tronçons 2 sont introduits dans des conteneurs tubulaires 1 sur lesquels se fixent des flotteurs réglables et présentant à chaque extrémité des embouts amovibles munis de têtes de traction 7 pour leur remorquage sous l'eau jusqu'au poste d'avalement de la barge de soudure et de pose. On évite ainsi toute détérioration de la canalisation malgré la grande longueur des tronçons.
