a. Commutateur d'échelons avec contacts de polarité pour transformateur à échelons. b. Commutateur d'échelons caractérisé en ce que les contacts de polarité fixes sont situés sur un autre barreau isolant fixé sur les bras supports, les contacts de polarité mobiles étant situés sur une tige maintenue par deux biellettes montées dans les bras supports, les extrémités de ces deux biellettes étant respectivement en prise dans une coulisse d'un disque de commande supérieur et d'un disque de commande inférieur montés sur les extrémités de l'arbre de commutation de l'inverseur, ces disques de commande et l'arbre de commutation étant susceptibles d'être entraînés conjointement. c. L'invention s'applique notamment aux commutateurs d'échelons prévus pour de très hautes tensions.
