Abstract

The safety helmet is for use in dangerous sports and is made of two parts (1, 2) joined along its median plane of symmetry. The edges of the join have teeth which fit into the corresponding gaps (22) in the opposite edge. The two parts are held together by a cable passing through holes (7) in the teeth. The teeth have studs (23) on the end which fit into holes (24) in the gaps, like a tenon and mortice joint. The studs are cylindrical and the ends are bevelled to fit into complementary shapes in the hole.
