Abstract

The invention provides a double-insertion cylinder lock, which has two sets of tumblers, and also a key for the said lock. The two halves of the cylinder are coupled for their joint movement and can turn only together. The key to be used activates all the tumblers simultaneously, i.e. it is a key which is approximately twice the length of a conventional key.
