Abstract

The awning sunblind has spring-stretched hinge arms. The arms have top and bottom pieces, the latter hinged to a drop rod fixed to the canvas, and the former to a bracket-attached support tube parallel to the canvas with bearings for the spindle at its ends. The top (1) and bottom sections (2) of each arm consist of a hollow profile (3) and hinge members (4, 5, 6, 7) inserted in both ends of this and incorporating hinge eyes or pins. Each member has a joint flange (204-207) covering the head surface of the hollow profile, and is fastened to the hollow profile by self-cutting screws (10) turned through flange holes (11) into internal grooves (12) in the hollow profile. This ensures an even and uninterrupted surface without visible fixing media, at any angle of the continuously adjustable hinge arms.
