Abstract

L'invention concerne des perfectionnements apportés aux procédés d'affinage de fonte phosphoreuse ou hématite au convertisseur. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'après l'opération de soufflage proprement dite, pendant l'opération de retournement du convertisseur jusqu'en position de vidange d'échantillon, on souffle au travers des conduits desdites tuyères un gaz composé essentiellement de CO2 . Application à l'affinage effectué par injection d'un gaz oxydant, par exemple de l'oxygène pur, dans le bain de métal, au travers de tuyères logées dans le fond du convertisseur.
