Abstract

The control box (10) has a lever (78) coupled to a release lever of a main switch, and a solenoid (20) whose electrical circuit includes an over centre switch (30) with normally closed contacts (26, 28). Momentary energisation of the solenoid drives its armature (22) against a pivot lever (60) and another lever (78) to open the main switch. Pivoting of the pivot lever opens contacts (26, 28) and pivots another lever (52) to the left by way of a coupling (50). Opening of the main switch triggers a release bar coupled to the lever (52) which resets the lever and the over-centre switch reclosing the contacts. The box allows remote control of a main switch without manual resetting.
