Abstract

The mechanism distributes items one by one, having two or more conveyor belts (1, 2) at right angles to each other. The first belt (1) has a number of guides (3, 5), and the belts are driven by a motor (6) with clutch (7). An automatic system halts the items before a photo-electric cell (9), and other systems enable only one item to be distributed at a time, and regulate the supply of items. The two belts can have an adjustable guide (5), transferring items from the first to the second. The latter can be arranged to run faster than the first.
