Abstract

La présenté invention concerne un procédé de préparation de l'oxyde de styrène par réaction de l'eau oxygénée sur le styrène en présence d'acétonitrile et de phosphate disodique, en milieu méthanolique basique, par addition simultanée d'eau oxygénée et de solution aqueuse de soude dans le mélange réactionnel porté à une température de 50 à 65 degrés C, caractérisé en ce que la teneur initiale en eau du mélange réactionnel avant addition de l'eau oxygénée et de la soude est comprise entre 4 et 8 % en poids et en ce que la teneur finale en eau du mélange réactionnel est comprise entre 12 et 16 % en poids.
