Abstract

Sur des itinéraires déterminés, un conducteur doit rester en dessous de vitesses limites précises, cependant il doit être constamment maître de sa vitesse ce qui exclut une régulation trop rigide. L'appareil présenté obvie cet inconvénient; il se compose d'un servo-mécanisme électronique qui comporte un préréglage de sélection pour diverses vitesses. Il reçoit des ordres d'un indicateur de vitesse équipé convenablement 1, il agit directement sur le papillon du carburateur par un vérin télescopique actionné par une commande souple 12. Lorsque la vitesse maximum est atteinte, le vérin agit à la place du conducteur qui ne peut plus accélérer à moins qu'en cas de nécessité absolue, il ne mette le dispositif hors circuit (généralement en actionnant le clignoteur gauche). L'appareillage peut s'adapter à un moteur à injection.
