Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de coulée continue de lingots métalliques où on assure la solidification partielle ou complète du lingot en faisant arriver un agent de refroidissement sur sa surface. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'on retarde l'effet de refroidissement de l'agent liquide en mélangeant avec celui-ci un gaz avant son arrivée sur la surface du lingot de façon que le gaz forme une couche isolante entre l'agent liquide et la surface de lingot. Application à la coulée de métaux et alliages légers.
