Abstract

The steering wheel assembly has a hub (15) with plain or hollow arms (7, 8). The hub has an inner element (3) fitted in an external tubular part (5). The assembly is put together by a single resistance weld. A single inner element joints at least two assembly points. Those parts not joined in this way are joined by a single external tubular part. The inner elements can be plain, or of different sections.
