Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title tube excellent in workability at the repair works for electric cable by pressure welding a specially designed laminated tape by heating at the both ends of a mono-axially stretched resin sheet leaving excess spaces, and form a tube by joining the extra spaces at the both ends. CONSTITUTION:On the mono-axially stretched resin sheet 3, the laminated tape 1 consisting of metal tape 1a and plastic tape 1b is pressure welded by heating at the both ends respectively along the extended direction, leaving excess spaces 1', with non-crosslinked polyethylene tape (non-crosslinked polyethylene mixed with peroxide and polyfunctional monomer) interposed under the laminated tape 1. Then the title tube is obtained by butting the two excess spaces 1' and pressure welding them by heating the forming the sheet into tube. Pressure welding and heating are pref. to be performed under and temp. 150-250 deg.C and the pressure 0.5-5.0kg/ cm<2>.
