Abstract

The machine is designed for washing bottles on a filling line and is installed transversely over the conveyor (1). The bottles (2) are picked up and held by clamps (3) gripping around their tops and are then carried upwards and over a large diameter pulley (4), the clamps are fixed to an endless horizontal chain (6). This pulley incorporates the cleaning installation and the bottles are next dried when the upper horizontal length (13) of the chain passes over a drying station (28). The bottles pass over a drive pulley (5) and are deposited onto the conveyor.
