Abstract

L'invention se rapporte au traitement thermique d'une tôle ou bande de métal continue 1. Cette tôle ou bande 1 est en mouvement à travers plusieurs postes 13 en atmosphère protectrice entre des rouleaux de guidage 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 et est traitée par application de courant continu aux rouleaux pour incorporer la bande au circuit électrique P+ P- ainsi formé. Les rouleaux chargés du premier poste 3, 4, 5, 6 sont plus largement espacés que ceux des postes suivants 6, 7 pour compenser la moindre résistivité du métal qui s'y trouve, de sorte que l'effet Joule ou facteur I**2R reste sensiblement égal. Ce traitement thermique est notamment utile en préparation à l'application d'un revêtement d'un autre métal.
