Abstract

The sterilised chamber with laminar horizontal air flow is for mounting in a building, and typically for use as an operating theatre. Diffusion and recovery units at opposite ends supply and receive a horizontal air current, which is recycled. These units are formed by modular components supporting the recycling equipment and forming with it an independent self-supporting structure independent of the building. The recycling equipment can comprise two cylindrical sheaths at the tops of the chamber sides, their widths being such as to leave space for a lighting unit between.
