Abstract

The connector has a cylindrical block (11) with a blind axially parallel hole (17) receiving the cable end. The block also has a radial slit (18) extending over the length of and communicating with the hole. The connection is completed by an elastic sleeve (12) which fits over the block, the sleeve having a screw-hole (15) and a bore nominally exceeding the block dia. The slit may or may not intersect the axis of the screw-hole, and may or may not pass through the axis of the cable hole (17). Additional slits (14) may be incorporated, the block expanding to stress the sleeve as the screw enters.
