Abstract

The fitting is used on windows or doors which move around a vertical-as well as horizontal axis. The stay rod (6) is connected with adjustable element (8) fitted in a hollow portion of the rod and fixed by screws (9). The other end of the element has a profiled extension (14) with a groove (22) on a flat surface and terminating in a relatively large nose (15) and an opposite smaller nose (17). This part fits slidingly into a corresponding pocket (17) of pivoting body (18) provided with seating (26). The body of element (18) is provided with a tapped hole (19) positioned at a slight angle against the axis of rod (8). Worm screw (20) works together with surface (15) of nose (15) and the weight of the leaf ensures that contact between the screw end and the surface (15) is maintained at all times.
