Abstract

A closure, e.g. for oil cans, comprises a fixed ring, intended to seal the opening, a sleeve or movable pourer provided with a thread to co-operate with a corresponding screw tap worked into the bore of the fixed ring. A separate lid may be fixed so as to seal the outer end of the pourer. The lid is fixed to the pourer by a screw, but the screw threading on the pourer is of a different hand, so that when the user screws the closure, the pourer may become screwed up or unscrewed in the ring before the lid becomes unscrewed or screwed on the pourer.
