Abstract

A solar energy collector comprising two cylindrical tubes between which a heat transfer fluid circulates, has a spiral guide placed between the two tubes to form a spiral path for the liq. The thickness of the guide is equal to the difference in the radii of the two tubes. The inner tube is closed and the outer tube is open at its ends. The variation of the pitch of the spiral allows the length of path to be altered and therefore the time of exposure to the sun's rays, for a constant circulation velocity.
