Abstract

A system of shelves is assembled from boards with holes near each corner. Round bars of 35 mm diameter with transverse holes at intervals of 120 or 150 mm are fitted through the holes in the boards. The bars are then secured by dowels which pass through holes in the edges of the boards and into the transverse holes in the bars. The shelves are joined longitudinally by oval metal plates which fit into slots cut into the end edges of the boards. The plates are secured by bolts which pass through matching holes in the boards and plates.
