Abstract

Seeds are distributed from a seed box on the chassis through seed tubes to furrows opened by rotary discs (16). The discs are associated with compacting wheels in rear which close the furrows after the seed has been planted. Each seed tube has a rigid lower end part (21) carrying a coulter (22) adjacent the disc to keep open the furrow made by the disc.
