Abstract

The attachment is fitted to a bicycle pedal with a strap and toe clip, and allows the foot to be released immediately if required. It is detachable and consists of two parts which are pressed together to fix them semi-permanently. These fix the strap and buckle to the pedal. The attachment is released by the cyclist pressing his foot laterally. Several forms are possible, and all use a puch type head (1) fitted to the pedal. Over this head fits an end piece (2) fitted to the strap, under spring return.
