Abstract

The ski stick handle has a hand strap pulling free under traction. The top of the handle includes a portion (4) over which a washer (5), fixed to the hand strap (6) snaps into engagement. The top can have a flat face with a boss on it, snapping into a hole in the washer. The boss consists of a conical head with a chamber on the underside, while the washer has a mating taper bore. The strap buckle can be moulded in one piece with the washer. The design affords a simple means of avoiding injury, should the stick become caught.
