Abstract

The ski boot has an exterior tongue (2) which covers the front of the leg of the boot (1) and is held in place on the leg by fastening buckles (3, 4). The tongue has a collar (5) at its lower extremity which fits over the toe of the boot. The collar fits into a circular groove (6) which is made in the thickness of the boot. The collar clips firmly into the groove and so the tongue is held firmly on the toe of the boot and is given better stability.
