Abstract

A piezoelectric sensor in the form of coaxial cable is placed across the road and generates a signal for electronic circuit to determine weight of a vehicle. With two sensors the number of axles can be counted and the speed of the vehicles determined. Two magnetic loops connected to a detector are located ahead of two cables in traffic direction. The cables are connected to detectors whose outputs pass via samplers to multiplexer and converter. A microprocessor controls samplers and multiplexer. Microprocessor processes sinals for recording and display.
