Abstract

L'invention a trait à un système électronique d'exploration et de focalisation au moyen d'ondes ultra-sonores transmises par un dispositif de conversion électroacoustique de forme linéaire à transducteurs. Le système conforme à la présente invention comporte un dispositif de conversion électroacoustique à transducteurs à deux dimensions, des organes destinés à effectuer des connexions avec et entre des éléments transducteurs du susdit dispositif, ainsi qu'un organe à la sortie duquel on peut connecter des ensembles de mémorisation et/ou de reproduction de l'image ultrasonore reçue, et un organe générateur de signaux électriques destinés à produire les faisceaux d'ultrasons émis. Un tel système est particulièrement intéressant dans le domaine médical, où il permet l'exploration et l'imagerie à haute résolution à l'aide d'ultrasons. Application à l'imagerie médicale ultrasonore.
