Abstract

A lamp for low level lighting of parks or public highways is made in the form of a cone or pyramid (1), of high strength material such as reinforced concrete. A recess (2) has a curved inner surface (3) and leads to a bell-shaped cavity for a light bulb which fits in a socket (11) and holder (12). The inner surface (3) is painted so that it reflects the light and a protective grill may be fitted if required. This shape of lamp is very stable and can withstand damage due to vandalism.
