Abstract

The heater has a rectangular casing mounted against a wall. It has an inlet opening for air at the bottom and a discharge grille at the top. A heater battery (b) of finned tubes is placed at the bottom of the casing and produces heating by natural convection. It is served by hot water. The front panel (c) of the unit contains electric resistance elements embedded in polyester resin. The heat from these is emitted by radiation from the front. The convective and radiant parts can be separately controlled to give a high degree of comfort and provide flexible heating in spring and autumn.
