Abstract

The water enters (7) the open fireplace near the bottom of one side and enters a grille of parallel tubes (8) which form fire bars. A cheek plate (15) each side encloses the fire, its heat passing into the water. This heated water then enters a back panel (4), the fire bars being connected into it. Reflected heat further warms the water which rises and passes out of the top into another grille (9, 10) of parallel tubular elements inside the chimney (12). The water picks up additional head through these elements and is finally discharged for use (11).
