Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'une fibre synthétique à l'aide d'un monomère polymérisable soluble dans l'eau. Ce procédé consiste à appliquer sur la fibre une solution ou une dispersion aqueuse contenant un initiateur de polymérisation pour le monomère, à soumettre la fibre à un traitement thermique en vue de l'absorption de l'initiateur de polymérisation par la fibre, à laver la fibre à l'eau, puis à appliquer sur la fibre traitée ci-dessus une solution aqueuse de monomère contenant au moins un monomère polymérisable soluble dans l'eau et ayant un pH non supérieur à 6, et à soumettre la fibre à un traitement thermique. Obtention de fibres ayant de bonnes propriétés antistatiques.
