Abstract

The article of footgear is esp. a Wellington boot made of flexible material, and consists of an upper fixed to a sole. The boot is designed to remove any mud clinging to it. The top of the upper has at least one roll round it. The sole (3) has a hollow heel (5) with a concave shaped cavity (7) inside it, which is similar to a truncated cone in shape. The cavity (7) has a stud-shaped pusher (9) in it. The back surface of the heel has a set-back part to bring forward the point at which the heel meets the ground. The sole (3) has a strip (10) all round it, in which are set-in parts (11) between crosswise ridges (4) in the front of the sole.
