Abstract

A rectangular folding pallet is made of wood. IT has a hinge at each of its four corners. Each hinge comprises two metallic pieces assembled to a common hinge pin around which they are movable in rotation. The pallet is, thus, a deformable parallelogram. The metallic pieces have rectangular tongues whose front edges penetrate into the wood of the side of the pallet. The tongues are cut in the hinge pieces and bent over to enter the wood. The lower and or upper ends of the metal pieces may be formed as at (8) to facilitate stacking.
