Abstract

L'invention concerne un agent d'ignifugation comprenant au moins un composé halogéné, un émulsionnant, éventuellement un colloïde protecteur et éventuellement de l'eau ainsi qu'un procédé d'ignifugation de matières fibreuses synthétiques consistant à traiter ces matières avec l'agent d'ignifugation précité et à les soumettre à un traitement thermique à 120-220 degrés C de manière que la quantité de composé halogéné déposée s'élève à 0,5 à 19 % en poids par rapport à la matière fibreuse. L'invention s'applique notamment au polyamide et au polyester.
