Abstract
Un laser à décharge dans un gaz, qui comporte une enveloppe en verre cylindrique, dont deux extrémités sont munies de réflecteurs constituant ensemble un récepteur optique, est entouré, au moins partiellement et pratiquement coaxialement, d'une gaine métallique, qui est fixée autour de l'enveloppe à l'aide d'éléments élastiques très souples, tels que des blocs en caoutchouc ou des ressorts métalliques. On évite ainsi la formation de gradients de température variables dans l'enveloppe à la suite de la décharge dans le gaz, de sorte que les dimensions et la direction du faisceau ne subissent que de très faibles variations.
