Abstract

L'invention concerne un capteur électrochimique. Le capteur est monté sur la pointe d'un cathéter 1 en polychlorure de vinyle et comprend une électrode 2 en verre de mesure de pH, sensible au gaz carbonique, et une électrode 3 sous forme de fil d'argent qui réduit électrochimiquement l'oxygène. Les électrodes 2 et 3 sont associées à une électrode de référence 4 en argent/chlorure d'argent. Le capteur comporte un électrolyte 5 formé de bicarbonate de sodium/chlorure de sodium, qui est revêtu d'une membrane 6 en polystyrène perméable à l'oxygène, au gaz carbonique et à l'eau. Le capteur est destiné à la mesure continue et simultanée des pressions partielles de l'oxygène et du gaz carbonique dans le sang.
