Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower the price, by providing an electrode formed at the leg which is exposed to detecting gas solid electrolyte element in a range of 1/10-2/3 whole surface area of the leg of the element, in a solid electrolytic element. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolyte element 1 is made in cup shape of which one end is opened and also, the other end is closed. Noble metal electrodes 2, 3 exposed to detecting gas is formed on the outside of the element 1. Capacity as an oxygen concentration detector is displayed sufficiently by making the area of this electrode >=1/10 whole area of the leg of the element. Hereby, use of precious noble metal is decreased in quantity and price is lowered.
