Abstract

Le nouveau câble est constitué de plusieurs conducteurs individuellement isolés à l'aide d'un polymère contenant des groupes éthylène réticulé et une très faible proportion d'agent retardateur d'inflammation halogéné. L'espace compris entre les conducteurs réunis côte à côte est comblé par des bandes de remplissage en copolymère styrène-butadiène renfermant une très forte proportion d'alumine hydratée. Le câble offre les mêmes propriétés électriques qu'un câble classique et une meilleure résistance à l'inflammation, sans avoir les inconvénients due à la présence de fortes concentrations en halogène, ou d'amiante, composé dont le câble est totalement dépourvu.
