Abstract

The spectacle frame has lenses which can be folded through 90 deg. relative to each other. The bridge of the frame has a double pivoted hinge ensuring correct relative positioning of the lenses and minimising damage esp. where organic materials are used. The hinge consists of a 'T' shaped block (22) having a comparatively very wide vertical member. A pin (19) on either side of this member forms a hinge with each lens (12) frame (11) the short horizontal members limiting the forward rotational movement of the frames.
