Abstract

The glasses (1) have two side arms (3) hinged to an upper bridge piece (10) and with each of the lenses formed by a number of parallel horizontal slats (1a, 1b--) which are formed integrally with the bridge piece. The length of each of the slats (1a, 1b--) is much greater than their width which is in the order of several tenths of a millimetre. The hinge (11) t each side of the bridge piece (10) may allow the altter to pivot about a longitudinal axis, to allow the front part of the glasses to be set at a selected angle, each of the slats (1a, 1b--) then being at the same angle of inclination to the horizontal.
