Le même résultat peut être obtenu par une bande adresse portant recto verso expéditeur et destinataire et mise sous enveloppe à simple ou double fenêtre. Le destinataire évite l'enveloppe retour; l'expéditeur reçoit la preuve de la correspondance et retrouve ses références d'origine.
