Abstract

Display unit, having panels mounted on a two part rectangular column, is assembled by glueing. The column is formed by two square section casings. The casings have several flaps freed from the exterior surface, which when folded inwards, form the diagonals of the square section casings a slot and a stub being formed in the flap near to the fold. During assembly an elastic band is hooked over the flap stub and over a stub which is pressed out of the adjacent side of the casing. Two sides of the square sections formed are removed to permit folding, thus reducing the size of packaging. The casings form the narrow sides of the column. Flat sheets glued to the front and back of the casings form the front and rear faces of a rectangular column. Feet are added and finally the display panels.
