Abstract

The vaporiser comprises a cylindrical outer casing contg. the prod. and having air outlets. It has an extension at one end to couple the casing chamber to the air outlet of a domestic appliance. Inside the casing, a coaxial, cylindrical drum contg. the prod. has wall apertures through which the prod. vaporises into the annular air stream between drum and casing. The wall apertures can be adjustably restricted to regulate the rate of vaporisation. The prod. is pref. held in a cylindrical canister which fits rotatably inside the drum with negligible radial clearance. The canister has radial holes through its wall and rotation of the canister inside the drum allows the canister holes and drum wall apertures to coincide to a greater or lesser extent or not at all. Used in vaporising a volatile prod. such as a deodorant insecticide or bactericide into the atmos. of a dwelling etc. The vaporiser makes use of the air flow from a domestic appliance such as a vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, fan heater, fan etc. The vaporising time can be regulated as required.
